Anton Gavel won multiple German titles as a player, known for his defense and toughness, and moved into coaching fast.
He won the German championship with Ulm and was named coach of the year, then had a strong spell at Bamberg. In 2026 Bayern brought him back to Munich to replace Svetislav Pesic.
