Head coach · Zalgiris Kaunas · Lithuania · 50 years old
Last season's biggest surprise. Won the Lithuanian double in his first year.
Tomas Masiulis won the EuroLeague as a Zalgiris player in 1999, then spent much of his coaching life inside the same club.
He worked with the youth and reserve sides, then became Sarunas Jasikevicius's assistant, and took the senior team permanently in 2025. Now he builds his own version of the Zalgiris culture.
The quiet one. People who have worked with him describe someone calm, modest and approachable, not authoritarian. Players can actually talk basketball with him.
That matters, because he inherited a club where Jasikevicius's personality and standards still loom large.
Deep roots in the Lithuanian and Jasikevicius school: detail, discipline, intelligent passing, good spacing, collective decisions.
His teams are well prepared and low on needless risk. He obsesses over the small things that decide possessions, positioning, fouls, the clock. His strength is continuity, understanding what Zalgiris wants to be without simply copying his old boss.
A former forward for Zalgiris, Unicaja and the Lithuanian national team.
